Quanta Computers to build its third production factory line in Taiwan

Quanta Computer Inc. is one of the largest notebook computer ODM services providers in the world, now it plans to spend up to NT$950 million to build its third production factory line in Taiwan.

The location will be close to its headquarters in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The reason in building its 3rd production facility is to avoid the negative bearings from the continued trade war between the United States and China.

According to Quanta, it choose Taiwan because it needed more space to grow due to the rising demands of their products. Qaunta already has its second production facility running when they acquired CMC Magnetics last year for NT$4.28billion.

Apart from Taiwan, Quanta also looking to have its production in Thailand as it plans to buy an existing company in Bangkok which is owned by World Electric a known electronics assembler.

Investments from Taiwan and Thailand will bolster its production demand from its customers. Quanta Computers is the second largest notebook manufacturer in the world behind to another Taiwanese company Compal Electronics.
