Breaking News: Taiwan confirms 3 new cases, listed coronavirus patients now up to 16


Confirmed new cases of Wuhan virus as anniunced by Central Epidemic Command Center where all of them came overseas Hong Kong and Macau.


First 2 cases were husband and wife in their 50s. They transitioned from Hong Kong to Italy on January 22 with two other family members, and returned to Taiwan from Hong Kong on February 1. 

Case 3 was a female in her 40s in Southern Taiwan, she traveled to Macau with three other family members from January 21 to 24. 

All patients now on isolation and as of today (Feb 6), there are 16 confirmed cases in Taiwan. 


The command center once again called on the public to wash their hands frequently with soap, avoid touching the eyes, nose, and mouth, and perform cough etiquette.

People who have fever, cough and other discomforts when entering the country from abroad should take the  initiative to notify the airport and port quarantine personnel and cooperate with various epidemic prevention measures.
