Taiwan's TSMC to recruit 4,000 staffs as it gears up to develop high-end processes


Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker posted that it will hire 4,000 new staff this year as the company prepares to develop more high-end process, CNA reported.


TSMC are looking for personnel in the fields of electric/engineering, optoelectronics, machinery, physics, production materials, chemicals, finances, management, human resources and labor relations.

The jobs are posted at government-run Ministry of Labor's Workforce Development Agency recruitment website www.taiwanjobs.gov.tw.


The 4,000 staffs will be hired at a time this year. The company has also actively launched recruitment campaigns on campuses to expand its talent pool.

TSMC is scheduled to launch mass production of the 5nm process in the first half of this year. The 3nm process is expected to begin commercial production in 2022.
