DOH reports 2 recoveries from COVID-19 patients, total now at 17 in Philippines

The Department of Health on Sunday announced that there are two more COVID-19 patients in the Philippines that have been recovered, bringing the total to 17.

According to DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, most of the patients who recovered from the disease do not have underlying conditions and are in the middle-aged group.

When they asked the management  on what is particularly done on patients who recovered Vergeire said "There is really no secret formula that we have been seeing right now."

According to the World Health Organization COVID-19 may be fatal for the elderly and those with underlying medical condition but 80 percent of cases globally showed a high chance of recovery "without needing special treatment."

Meanwhile, there are 380 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 25 deaths in the Philippines.
