DOH records 40 COVID-19 recoveries, country total at 4,648 with 220 new cases


The Department of Health on Sunday (April 12), announced 40 newly recovered patients and 220 new COVID-19 cases in the Philippines bringing the country total to 4,648.


As of 4pm, today, the Philippines has 197 total recoveries and 297 death toll as 50 new fatalities have been recorded.

Earlier, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles has said that the government now requires public disclosure of personal information of COVID-19 patients.

The new policy aims to prevent further transmission of the disease and strengthen the contact tracing capability of the government.
