Grab Some Stylish And Delicious Dishes At Moomin Cafe In Taipei


Moomin café is a theme restaurant that has been popular since its fist store that opens in Tokyo, Japan in 2003. It has expanded overseas including Taiwan and opened a theme restaurant in the Eastern District of Taipei. (Photos: Moomin Cafe).




The store is designed with the original story as a blueprint.  The layout of the fairy tale, the meals and the tableware are consists of all cute characters. The oversized dolls are scattered in each seat to accompany you as you eat. The themed restaurant is too dreamy and too cute. 


After eating, you can put the pudding cup,  dessert cans and ceramic figurines to take home, which is a big selling point of the restaurant.



Some if the famous dishes at the Moomin Cafe includes the newly-launched "Brown Sugar Pearl Cheesecake" under the lovely shape of glutinous rice, Rice Double Cheese Sandwich which has two types of cheese, cheddar and parmesan cheese, also available is the flavourful chicken curry.


The star meal of the Moomin Cafe is the Moomin House Muffins, it is a luxurious seven-layer muffins. Also the cafe served different drinks that include tea, latte, juices and many more.




Moomins are characters in a series of books and a comic strip made by Tove Jansson. Moomins are family of white, round fairy tale characters with large snouts that make them resemble hippopotamus.
