Sara Duterte, Gibo Teodoro to team up for running in 2022 elections, ex-lawmaker claims

Will Sara Duterte, the mayor of Davao City, and Gilbert "Gibo" Teodoro, the former defense secretary, run together in the 2022 elections? According to a former legislator, a "deal" has already been reached.

Former Camarines Sur Rep. Rolando Andaya Jr., who accompanied Teodoro to Davao to see the presidential daughter, claimed the two resolved to run as independents in the elections next year.

"They have decided that they would run as independent candidates. That is noteworthy "According to Andaya, she told News Night. He went on to say, "They are not waiting, they are not yearning, and they are not actively searching for any one political party to take them."

"I was standing between them when I said, "Ma'am, here is your vice president." This is your president, Mr. Gibo. After that, she grinned "When asked about the details of their meeting, Andaya stated. "After I stated that, she shared three dinners with us. I doubt she'd stay in the room for another five minutes if she didn't appreciate what I said."

Andaya announced on Thursday that he and Teodoro travelled to Davao to speak with Duterte, reigniting talk of a Sara-Gibo team in 2022. Andaya said it was already a "done deal" on his Facebook page. Duterte and Teodoro, on the other hand, have yet to make a remark on the topic.

President Rodrigo Duterte warned his daughter not to follow in his footsteps in January, claiming that the presidency was not a position for a woman. The mayor of Davao City has yet to make an official announcement about her preparations for the 2022 elections.
