First coronavirus patient in Taiwan discharged from hospital, virus tested negative repeatedly


The first Taiwanese national confirmed to have the Wuhan coronavirus now discharged from the hospital Minister of Health and Welfare and head of Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) Chen Shih-chung announced.


The patient became the first Wuhan virus patient in Taiwan to be discharged from hospital, Central News Agency reported.

Test conducted repeatedly and results all came back negative for the 2019 novel coronavirus, the woman will still need to monitor her health closely according to CECC.

"If everyone here would complain less and be more grateful, the world would be a better place," according to the woman who is now fully recovered against the virus.


As of Thursday (Feb 6) Taiwan has recorded 16 confirmed cases of the 2019-nCoV, 9 are in stable condition and 1 already discharged.
