Taiwan employers considers Viet, Indo workers if OFW unable to return due to travel ban

Taiwanese employers of Filipino migrant workers can apply to extend their recruitment permits or can choose to revoke if the worker is stranded and unable to return in time due to travel ban.

The Philippines Civil Aeronautics Board made it clear that the ban included Taiwan, in keeping with Manila's one-China policy.

The third pointer of the notice of the travel ban indicated that will be a "temporary ban of Filipinos from travel to China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan."

Taiwanese employers who encounter problem as the Filipino worker being barred to go Taiwan may request for extension of permit of they still want the same employee, worse is to revoke the permit and hire other nationals.

Taiwan government rules stipulate that a vacationing migrant worker needs to return to Taiwan within 30 days of leaving the country.
