Shihmen Reservoir “Blue-Highway” Boat Ride Tour Launched In Taoyuan

A season-limited for summer called “blue highway” launched by Taoyuan City’s Department of Tourism for tourist or even locals that wants to have a boat ride along the beautiful Shimen Reservoir.


The boat ride will start at the wharf at Shihmen Dam going to the new Sikou Suspension Bridge. The bridge is very picturesque for tourist and the boat way gives other option going there other than going by road.

The boat tour will run through July 13 to September 1, 2019 and the tour times are 10am and 1pm which are only available every Saturdays and Sundays.

The price for the roundtrip boat tour from the wharf to suspension bridge is NT$400 while fare from the Amupnig wharf is NT$300. Boat riders will definitely enjoy the scenery within Shihmen Reservoir, Longzhu Bay, Amuping ecological park and Ginger Island.

Meanwhile, Shihmen Reservoir Blue Highway Package Tour will also be launched that includes a roundtrip shuttle bus ride from Zhongli Station  (Taiwan tourist shuttle’s Shihmen reservoir route), a round trip boat ride and ticket for the new Sikou Suspension Bridge.

The whole package tour costs NT$455 and consumers will receive a gift, packaged tours are available thru KKDay or contact the Deaprtment pf Tourism of Taoyuan.
