6°C forecasts in Taiwan as colld warning advisory raised to 17 cities and counties


According to Central Weather Bureau, 17 cities and counties in Taiwan may reach 6 degrees due to the continuous impact of the cold current that will affect until Feb 19.


Orange cold warning (very cold)
Keelung City, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, and Yilan County 

Yellow cold warning (cold)
Hsinchu City, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Hualien County, and Kinmen County

Orange cold warning means that the temperature can reach up to 6 degrees while Yellow cold warning means temperature can reach 10 degrees or less.


The low temperatures are forecast to continue until early Wednesday morning, according to the CWB.

The cold surge is forecast to affect Taiwan until Wednesday morning, during which period overnight temperatures of 7-11 degrees will be likely in northern, central and northeastern Taiwan, and 12-13 degrees in the south and east, according to the CWB.
