Taiwan issues travel alert to South Korea, Singapore and Thailand due to coronavirus cases


Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) had issued travel alert for Asian countries Singapore, South Korea and Thailand due to increasing number of coronavirus cases.


Travel alert is advising travelers from Taiwan to exercise normal precautions while in the country.

CECC had issued travel Level 2 to Singapore, basic Level 1 travel alert for South Korea and lowest Level 1 or 'watch' for Thailand.

Additionally, CECC raised its travel advisory for Hong Kong and Macau from a Level 2 alert to the highest Level 3 alert which urges people to avoid unnecessary travel to the destination.

Currently, Taiwan has 24 confirmed cases and 1 death from a 61-year old patient.
