COVID-19 test sa mga OFW mula sa mga low-risk na mga bansa, hindi na kailangan -DOH

Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) mula sa mga low-risk COVID-19 countries na may low to medium prevalence ng coronavirus cases ay hindi na kailangang sumailalim sa COVID-19 test ayon sa Department of Health.


Asymptomatic OFWs ay maaari ng umuwi sa kanilang mga probinsya na may kasamang minimum public health standards.


“But whatever the local governments would require for them to enter into their province, they have to comply,” ayon kay Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire sa isang virtual press briefing.


Ang mga uuwing may symptoms mula sa mga low-risk countries lamang ang dadaan sa testing alinsunod sa Omnibus Guidelines for Prevention, Detection, Isolation, Treatment and Reintegration Strategies for COVID-19.


“We are rationalizing actually not just the resources but also protocols that we do. If you would notice in the previous protocol that we have, we would be testing OFWs when they arrive. Once they test negative, we send them to their provinces,” dagdag ng ni Vergeire.


“Once they arrive in their provinces, they get to be tested again. They get to be quarantined again. So we are just rationalizing the protocols.”

  1. Totoo po ba ito? Kasi po ung mga workmate ko na umuwi ng pinas from taiwan nagswabtest pa rin at quarantine.

  2. Effective na ba ito? kung sakaling babalik kami sa ibang bansa ano ba dapat ang mga dadaanan bago mkabalik uli?
