Pres. Duterte offers up to P100k reward money to unmask corrupt officials

As an effort to completely erradicate corruption until the end of his term, President Rodrigo Duterte offered reward money for those who can report corrupt government officials in the country.

On his late night speech last Tuesday (Nov. 10), Pres. Duterte stressed that he will be giving P50,000 to P100,000 to anyone who can disclose information on corrupt officials and their dealings.

“All you have to do is to let me know. May prize ako. Pagka mayroon kang malaki, if it’s a malaking sindikato, ghost project ni Direktor [expletive], I’ll give you P50,000,” Duterte said.

“I’ll give you P100,000 and I’ll keep your identity secret until I reach my grave,” he added.

The Malacañang on Wednesday (November 11) reiterated that the President was serious with his offer just to boost his anti-corruption campaign.

"Patunay na talagang sa natitirang termino niya ay talagang susubukin niya ang lahat, gagawin niya ang lahat para mabawasan kung hindi man tuluyang mawala ang korapsiyon sa gobyerno,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in an interview.
