“So what’s new with the SLP? 1st, we give you the first set of grant which is around P15-P20K per head but we encourage you to associate,” ayon kay Sec. Rex Gatchalian, DSWD.

“On the 3rd year, we give you another grant that’s around P250K. So why we wanna give you that grant? Kasi, we want to look to the indicators of net profit, gross sales and the number of employees that you have. Whether kayo pa rin ba ‘yan or you’ve contributed back by employing your neighbors o people in your sector,” dagdag pa ni Gatchalian.

“In the 4th year, we provide the necessary technical inputs; We provide you the necessary capacity-building technology. And, then in the 5th year, we once again look at your nets, your gross sales, your net profit, and your formalization process. It’s no longer a mom and pops enterprise. If we see that you are gradually progressing, we will give you the final input of P100K,” ani Gatchalian.

“Like every program, you just go to the field office and they orient you and brief you on the program,” ayon kay Gatchalian.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership in looking after our communities especially the vulnerable, disadvantaged, and those in need of special protection,” ayon kay Steven Tan, President, SM Supermalls.
