Visa-Free Extension Of Pinoys Now Official Announced By TECO In The Philippines


Announced by Taipei Economic and Cultural Offices (TECO) in the Philippines and shared by officials from Manila Economic and Cultural Offices (MECO) in Taiwan, Pinoy granted extension to enter Taiwan visa free until July 31, 2020. This act is a friendly measure of Taiwan to the Philippines.


On the announcement, still, visitors are allowed with a 14 day visa free stay in Taiwan. The free entry to Taiwan have boosted the tourism significantly with Filipinos increased to enter up with additional 12.46 % and with a total 44% growth in entry of Filipinos to Taiwan.

Several airlines have launced new flight poiny routes from Clark, Cebu, Boracay and Puerto Princesa will drastically shorten the travel time going to Taiwan. TECO have encouraged more Filipino friends to visit and re-visit Taiwan to appreciate its culture as the Philippine government is called upon the grant of the extension of the visa free treatment.

This is now the third time that the visa free entry for Filipinos will have an extension. The arrival of Filipino visitors in Taiwan have been abundant since it started three years ago. Filipino as tourists and even visiting their relatives in Taiwan as OFW ranks third in terms of number of migrant workers living in Taiwan.
