Company in Taichung suspends its operation due to coronavirus fears


A company in Tanzi District in Taichung which is in the woodworking sectory had temporarily suspend its opeartions until March 1 due to coronavirus scare.


This is after a family member of one of its employees was confirmed as having contracted one of the COVID-19 coronavirus confirmed case.

This came after a man, whose wife is the niece of a confirmed Wuhan virus patient, had been diagnosed with COVID-19.

As a result, 58 people from the company where the man works have been placed in "home isolation" for 14 days. All test from the 58 workers came out negative.


The company was thoroughly disinfected by Taichung Environmental Protection Bureau on Feb 18.
