Taiwan probits entry of all Chinese nationals amid Wuhan virus outbreak


All Chinese nationals will be denied entry into Taiwan beginning Thursday (Feb 6) announced by the Central Epidemic Command Center, Central News Agency reported.


This is to prevent further spread of virus as the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in China jumped past 20,000,

All arriving passengers who have traveled recently to China, Hong Kong or Macau and to those who receive advance approval to enter Taiwan from Hong Kong and Macau will be subjected to a mandatory 14-day home quarantine, the center said.

To date, the new type novel coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, has claimed 493 lives in China, one in the Philippines and one in Hong Kong, according to the latest statistics provided by the World Health Organization (WHO).
