Taiwan already discharged its second fully recovered patient from Wuhan coronavirus

Taiwan already discharged the second coronavirus patient from the hospital announced by the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on Feb 15 afternoon.

This comes after two consecutive tests showed negative and he is not contagious anymore. The patient was the 10th confirmed case in Taiwan.

If a patient has been tested twice and the results have come back negative, it means the person is deemed to be free of the virus, said Chuang Jen-hsiang deputy director-general of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

Taiwan will continue to follow its practice of requiring two consecutive negative tests and stressed that health experts conduct thorough final assessments before discharging a patient, CNA reported.
