Pampanga starts total lockdown due to progressive COVID-19 pandemic

Pampanga Police now implements a total lockdown in the whole province of Pampanga, Friday, March 27 due to the worsening corona virus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Lockdown na actually ang sinasabi natin dito dahil nga yung lagi nating ipinapaliwanag ay quarantine is a medical term na talagang sinisikap natin na huwag nang lumabas o kumalat ang tinatawag nating coronavirus,” said Police Col. Jean Fajardo, provincial director of Pampanga Police.

Under the total lockdown order, no one will be permitted to go in and out of the province especially the non-essential workers. An exception on the other hand, is given if there will be medical or emergency cases.

Only those who have identified quarantine pass will be allowed to go on essential establishments like supermarket, groceries, pharmacies and other markets which will remain open during the specified market hours.

The police also warns to arrest sellers and buyers of alcoholic beverages during the total lockdown.

As reported by the Pampanga authorities, from March 16 to March 25 there were already 173 arrested individuals and 66 of them are now facing their criminal cases.
