PH adds 58 COVID-19 recoveries, country total at 5,453 with 230 new cases


The Philippines recorded 58 newly recovered patients from COVID-19 and 230 new cases bringing a country total of 5,453 according to the Department of Health on Wednesday (April 15).


With 353 total recoveries, the Philippines now has higher number of recovered patients compare to its coronavirus death toll. As of 4pm, only 14 new fatalities have been recorded moving the total to 349.

The DOH said the number of recoveries only include patients admitted to hospitals and there are probably more patients with mild or no symptoms who have recovered while undergoing self-isolation.

According to President Rodrigo Duterte, a big pharmaceutical company have found an antibody for COVID-19 vaccine and it would be fairly distributed once available.
