Philippines total coronavirus cases rise to 2,633 with 322 new infections


The Department of Health (DOH) announced 322 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday (April 2), jumping to 2,633 total number of infections in the Philippines.


Secretary Francis Duque III also reported 11 additional fatalities raising the death toll to 107 and 51 recoveries as one newly recovered patients had been listed.

On the other hand, DOH said that there were 1,275 patients under investigation (PUI) today who tested negative to COVID-19.

Duque said that the Philippines will also be joining the solidarity trial of World Health Organization to study and look for potential treatment for COVID-19.
