Taiwan's Nantou opens Rainbow Suspension Bridge going to the Double Dragon Waterfalls


Shuanglong rainbow suspension bridge in Xinyi Township, Nantou County going to the scenic area of double dragon waterfall now open to the public.


The suspension bridge is 342 meters in length and 110 meters in depth, equivalent to 30 stories high. After the bridge opened to the public, it is the deepest and longest bridge in Taiwan.

The rainbow bridge features a flight of stairs with 420 steps and seven colors. If you look at the bridge afar, the bridge looks like a rainbow in the mountain valley.

The rainbow bridge opens from Tuesday to Sunday each week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m only. It is only allowed to have 250 people to walk on the bridge each day and visitors to the scenic area where double dragon waterfall is located are maximum at 1,500 per day.


Ticket priced at NT$100 for adult, complimentary tickets are NT$70, and tickets for seniors aged 65 and over are NT$30. Included with the ticket is a shuttle bus ride to the bridge.
