Pilipinas nagpasalamat sa South Korea para sa P10M rice donation sa bansa


Nagpasalamat ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), sa gobyerno ng South Korea para sa P10 million-rice donation nito na inaasahang maipapamahagi sa 33,000 pamilya sa bansa.


“We are grateful for your utmost consideration for our people and we hope that this partnership will continue to prosper in the years to come,” sabi ni DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista sa isinagawang turnover ceremony sa DSWD National Resource Operations Center (NROC) sa Pasay City.

“During these trying times, we emerge stronger because of our robust partnership and unwavering engagement,”  dagdag niya.

Ang turnover ng donasyon ay pinangunahan ni Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Han Dong-man. Tinatayang 200 metric tons ang dami ng bigas at nagkakahalagang US$200,000 o halos PhP10 million, ayon kay Bautista.

Saad ng DSWD, naging posible ang naturang rice donation sa bansa sa ilalim ng Emergency Rice Support Project of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), isang grant aid agency ng Korean Government.
