Ilang COVID-19 survivor sa Pilipinas, binebenta ang sariling blood plasma imbes na idonate


Department of Health (DOH) sa Central Visayas ang na alarma pgkatapos ng mga balitang may mga COVID-19 survivors ang nagbebenta ng sariling plasma sahalagang P20,000 hanggang P80,000.


“We have been getting reports that there are donors, especially in areas where the COVID cases are very high and they have recovered are being approached by private citizens who will be needing their convalescent plasma,” ayon kay Dr. Mry Jean Loreche, spokesperson ng DOH doon.

“Noong una, we heard it s P20,000 per donor. Itong pinaka-latest na narinig natin is P80,000 already so pataas na nang pataas and this is contrary to what the government s project and program is which is voluntary blood donation,” dagdag ni Loreche.

Sinabi ng DOH na ang pgbebenta ng blood plasma ay ilegal at sinabihan na ang mga hospital na hindi pwede mag transfuse ng dugo sa mga nagbebenta.

Dumepensa naman ang isang barangay sa Central Visayas na donation lamang daw iyon sa mga COVID-19 survivor at hindi nagbebenta.
