A 64-year-old grandfather from Pampanga was arrested last Tuesday (March 9) by the operatives of Sasmuan Municipal Police Station for alleged rape case.
According to ABS-CBN News, the initial investigation of the police shows that the suspect raped her 3-year-old grandchild.
The police immediately conducted an operation, which led to the arrest of the suspect, after someone reported to them.
No further details were gathered but based on the report, the suspect was already charged of rape and child abuse.
In Philippines jurisprudence, rape by sexual assault can be penalized of six to twelve years of imprisonment.
