Wet and cool weather forecast for New Year's eve in northern Taiwan

Mercury is expected to drop to 14 degrees Celsius early Tuesday morning in the northern part of the country as a northeasterly wind intensifies, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).

The weather is forecast to remain wet and cool in the north on New Year's Eve, with temperatures to hover between 15 and 18 degrees. Therefore, a wet and cool party in Taipei by afternoon until early evening.

Meanwhile, the central and southern parts of the country will see dry weather and temperatures ranging between 18 and 25 degrees.

Though late evening has lower chance of rain but expect a 14 degree temperature. Cold air mass will last until Thursday (Jan 2).
