5 COVID-19 patients in Philippines have recovered


Health Secretary Francisco Duque said Five of the new coronavirus cases in the Philippines have recovered. The country has recorded, as of Saturday, 111 cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), including 8 fatalities.


"Matagal talaga ang recovery period. Sa mild to moderate cases of COVID-19 infection, (recovery) is anywhere from 2-3 weeks. Yung critical aabutin lampas ng 1 buwan, 3-6 weeks. So hindi madali," he told radio DZMM.

In his interview in DZMM, he also reported that 638 individuals tested negative, while awaiting for the results of the 72 more. 

He said that because of confirmed local transmission cases, the tally is expected to rise.
