Philippines adds 96 new COVID-19 patients, total jumps to 803 cases


The Department of Health on March 27 announced 96 new cases (PH708-PH803) of COVID-19 bringing the total number of cases in the country to 803.


With  additional  9 deaths recorded, the total of fatalities now swells to 54 while a total of 31 patients have recovered from the highly-contagious viral disease today after recording three new recoveries.

As of Thursday, the DOH has conducted 2,147 tests in which 784 have tested negative while 654 have pending results.

Meanwhile, there are 722 persons under investigation and 6,321 persons under monitoring for the virus.
