Taiwan's China Airlines and EVA AIR to deny passengers with more than 37.5℃ body temp


Taiwan air carriers China Airlines (CAL) and EVA Airways announced that all their passengers must have their temperature taken before they are allowed to board flights and having more than 37.5 degrees will be denied boarding.


EVA Air said that its passengers must have their forehead temperature taken before boarding and will be allowed onboard only if their measurement is lower than 37.5 degrees.l according to ita official website.

All passengers are advised to wear a face mask throughout the flight to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection, except when they are having meals or drinks, the airline added.

CAL also said its passengers will not be able to board if their forehead temperature is higher than 37.5 degrees.


Passengers are advised to wear a face mask as soon as they check in at the airport and throughout the flight, it said.

The refund policies for the flights during the pandemic-affected period can be found on the airlines' websites, CNA reported.
