The Taitung County government will continue the celebration of Taitung Hot Air Balloon Festival at the Luye Highlands and which will take place from July 11-Aug. 30 this year, in accordance with the policies of Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
The hot air balloon festival has held annually since 2011. The festival was postponed last April due to the rising number of COVID-19 patients but the situation is now under control.

The hot air balloon trend has promoted local tourism, and is an attractive, rising new activity of the 21st century.
