2 nursing grads, student stabbed dead in Caloocan; construction worker suspected killer

Two nursing graduates and a student were found dead after being stabbed multiple times at a house along Catmon street in Barangay 179, Caloocan City on Sunday (September 27).

The victims were identified by the authorities as Mona Ismael, 22; Glydel Belonio, 28, and Arjay Belencio, both nursing graduates preparing for the board examination.

According to Lt. Col. Ilustre Mendoza, city police assistant chief for administration, the remains of the victims were discovered by their neighbor Johny Aliansas, 30, after being instructed by the relatives of the victims to check on them.

As of the moment, revenge is one of the suspected motives behind the killing, said Caloocan police chief Dario Menor.

Four construction workers are now being considered as persons of interest by the police after one of them, Bingbing Sarmiento, was fired a week before the incident when he was caught by Belonio sniffing shabu.
