A man killed his wife and brought their two kids in critical condition after he violently raged and hit them with two-by-two piece of wood at their home in Virac, Catanduanes.
Based on the investigation, the family just had dinner when the father went amok and started striking his wife and then their children, aged 9 and 1 year old.
Luckily, the third child was able to hide while the other are reportedly outside their home.
When the police arrived in the crime scene after receiving a report from a concerned netizen, the suspect also tried to hit them but he was shot in the process.
He was then immediately brought to the hospital for treatment and charged for murder and multiple frustrated parricide.
According to the report of "Saksi," the suspect is in distress after typhoon Rolly devastated their province weeks ago.
