Philippine government to start crackdown of electronic cigarettes and vaping products

Philippine government will start a restriction on the unauthorized production, distribution, selling and use of electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS), mostly known as electronic cigarettes and different vaping products.

It is announced by FDA Product Research and Standards Development Division Project Manager Anton Javier “By October 25, the AO on ENDS will already be in full effect and everyone is expected to comply with it,”.

The regulation is listed at Department of Health (DOH) Administrative Order (AO) 2019-0007 which orders manufacturers and distributors of electronic cigarettes and different vaping products to get the necessary registration.

There is only one company that managed to register and are now looking for other 150 companies to register. For manufacturers it is worth at least P15,000 and for distributors, at least P10,000.
