COVID-19 crisis shrinks NAIA to 28 flights on Friday

As shown from Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) data, only 28 flights are scheduled to arrive and depart at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Friday, March 27.

These flights include 25 arrivals and 13 departures which are all by foreign carriers.

Temporary freeze of international operations is due to COVID-19 concerns and travel restrictions raised by various governments globally.

MIAA announced that they will concentrate on remaining flights of one terminal of NAIA and will continue operating on March 28, starting 12:01 am.

As remembered, MIAA has earlier closed NAIA Terminal 4, Terminal 2 domestic wing and Terminal 3 domestic, after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) issued a ban on domestic air travel.
