Philippines records 90 new COVID-19 cases in one day bringing the total of 552


The Department of Health (DOH) announced 90 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, jumping to 552  total number of infections in the Philippines.


Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said at a virtual press briefing, the number of fatalities also rose to 35 while the total number of recoveries climbed to 20.

Meanwhile, 704 people have tested negative for the disease.

The online COVID-19 tracker of the DOH shows that they have so far conducted 1,622 tests, with 606 persons under investigation and 6,321 under monitoring.
