Taiwan penalized 4 people with NT$1-million for breaching home quarantine: Premier


Premier Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌) uploaded a post on his Facebook page stating that four persons in Taiwan have been handed the maximum fine of NT$1 million for violating home quarantine.


In order to prevent the outbreak of the epidemic, the government amended the law to restrict quarantine quarantine persons from leaving the quarantine place during the quarantine period.

Additionally, the Premier also wrote that the Taiwan government is "not made out of plastic [not weak]" and that is not just doing this "for show."

In order to protect the health of the public, he urged everyone to cooperate with the government's quarantine measures.

Taiwan is strictly enforcing the law when it comes to violating the quarantine and the premier added that do not doubt the government.

Meanwhile, Taiwan has confirmed 195 cases of COVID-19. Out of Taiwan's 195 confirmed cases of the disease, 158 are imported, while only 37 are domestic.
