29 more patients recovered from COVID-19 in PH, total recoveries rise to 722


The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday (April 23), reported 29 more patients who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Philippines leading the total recoveries to 722.


Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 462 as 16 more patients succumbed from the disease. The country's total COVID-19 cases also reached 6,981 after recording 271 newly infected individuals.

Health officials earlier said that it is still “too early to say” that the country is starting to flatten the curve of COVID-19.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said over 61,000 Filipinos had been tested for COVID-19 as of Tuesday in which 87.1 percent  tested negative for the disease while 12.8 percent came out positive.
