70 more COVID-19 patients recovered in PH, total reached 932


The Philippines now has 923 total COVID-19 recoveries as 70 more patients have recovered from the disease, said the Department of Health (DOH) on Monday (April 27).


Today's bulletin also logged 198 newly infected individuals bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 7,777. Meanwhile, death toll has rose to 511 after 10 more fatalities have been recorded.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the country has tested 80,015 people for COVID-19 as of Sunday in which 87.9% of them obtained a negative result while 11.94% turned out positive. 

Philippines now has 19 laboratories capable of conducting COVID-19 tests while 47 facilities are still applying for accreditation.
