DOH reports 21 new fatalities, death toll now at 203


The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday (April 9), announced 203 total deaths due to COVID-19 after recording 21 new fatalities in the country.


DOH also reports 206 new cases raising the country total to 4,076. On the same bulletin, 28 newly recovered patients were noted bringing a total of 124 recoveries.

Worldwide, COVID-19 has killed more than 80,000 people, mostly in Italy, although the outbreak began in Wuhan, China in December 2019. While the global number of confirmed cases top to 1.5 million.

As of the moment, there are still no vaccines or cure for the deadly disease but the World Health Organization is in a solidarity trial  aiming to find the treatment for COVID-19.
