Caregivers and domestic workers given go signal to transfer with new employers

Considering that the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 has been less than 100 for a week, Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said that priority will be given to the restoration of foreign domestic care workers and helpers to change employers.

The new employers must arrange for migrant workers to undergo PCR testing on the day of the renewal. Violators will be fined.

Al transferees must present a negative result of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.

If successively hired migrant workers test negative for PCR, the new employer should also follow the employer’s guidelines and conduct daily migrant health monitoring and records

The Ministry of Labor (MOL) gave the green light to caretakers or domestic workers even under the level 3 alert.

Meanwhile, other migrant workers in other industries like the factory workers are still suspended and will be reviewed depending on the epidemic.
