Magnitude 4.7 earthquake rocks east of Taiwan's Yilan early in the morning


An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 occurred at 3:32 in the morning on Dec 7th at Yilan County. According to the data of Central Weather Bureau, the epicenter was 93.2 kilometers southeast of the Yilan County.


The earthquake was felt in various places that includes Nan'ao in Yilan and in Hualien County.

The Central Weather Bureau pointed out that the epicenter was at 93.2 km southeast of Yilan County (located in the eastern seas of Taiwan), where a magnitude 4.7 earthquake occurred. The epicenter was 24.54 ° north latitude, 122.66 ° east longitude, and the focal depth was 100.5.  Kilometers.


Taiwan netizens commented that it lasts for 30 seconds and can feel the quake in different areas in Taiwan, mostly in northern and eastern Taiwan.
