Taiwan dips to 10°C as second wave of cold air mass starts to affect with scattered rain showers


Taiwan will experience wet and cold weather as the second cold air mass starts to affect the country, according to a report by Central Weather Bureau (CWB).


Coldest temperature will be experienced in the morning until Dec 8 (Sunday). The temperature in coastal and open areas could reach up to 10 degrees Celcius.

CWB stated that the intensity of the continental cold air mass was the strongest in the early morning of the 7th to the 8th. Cold air mass will be weaken on Dec 9th.

In addition, the highest snowfall probability on the night of December 6th on 3,000 meters above sea level areas which are Yushan and Hehuanshan.

If the right amount of moisture and cold blends in, expect a snow fall. It is also expected that Yushan and Hehuanshan will reach 0 to negative in temperature.
