Three suspects arrested for robbing a tourist worth NT300,000 in Taiwan

The three Taiwanese suspects allegedly stole 300,000 NT dollars from a Malaysian tourist, reported by Central News Agency.

The three disguised as Uber drivers but instead of taking the woman to the airport, they drove her to Yangminshan and took away her passport, mobile phone and bag.

A special investigation team was able to track down the suspects.

One suspect confessed that he knew the Malaysian tourist online and learned that she would be carrying a lot of cash on her visit to Taiwan.

The case has been handed over to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office for further investigation. (Photo from CNA)
