Two people found dead and four still trapped in collapsed supermarket in Padada, Davao del Sur due to strong quake on Sunday according to Davao del Sur Oriental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).
Trapped in the collapsed supermarket are yet to be identified. Rescue operations are still in progress after several structures collapsed.
Adding the fatality was a 6-year-old girl from Barangay Asinan, Matanao. The young child was unable to flee their house before it collapsed.
The quake hit at 2:11 p.m. on Dec 15 and its epicenter located nine kilometers west of Matanao.
