PH Team of Arnis tops all event for 14 gold medal in SEA Games, earns Disneyland trip


Philippine Arnis team earns a total of 14 Gold medals in the 2019 Asian Games, currently the most number of gold medals in all of events.


The Filipino martial artists captured 14 out of the possible 20 medals in arnis which is making a comeback to the SEA Games since it was last played in 2005.

Officials initially predicted a 12 gold medals for the team, but the atletes surpasses it. Adding to the 14 gold medals were six silvers and two bronze.


Dexter Bolambao, Mike BaƱares, NiƱo Mark Talledo, Villardo Cunamay, and Jezebel Morcillo all delivered golden performances on Day 1.

Abegail Abad, Jedah Mae Soriano, Sheena del Monte, Carloyd Tejada, Elmer Manlapas and Jesfer Huquire joined the gold rush in Day 2. Crisamuel Delfin and Mary Allin Aldeguer capped arnis’ onslaught in Day 3.

Efforts of silver medalists Jude Oliver Marie Rodriguez, Mark David Puzon, Ryssa Jezel Sanchez, Billy Joel Valenzuela and bronze medalists Erlin Mae Busacay and Eza Rai Yalong.

The whole PH Arnis team which include all coaches and players earned a Hong Kong Disneyland trip courtesy of Philippine Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation president and sentaor Juan Miguel Zubiri. A well deserved treat for the national athletes of the Philippines.
