Taipei 101 outside observation deck to be closed to visitors from Dec 23 to Jan 1


The outdoor observation deck on the 91st floor of Taipei 101 will be temporarily closed from December 23 to January 1 according to Taipei 101 management, reported by Central News Agency.


The observation deck is close to visitors over a week in preparation for the iconic tower's annual New Year's Day countdown fireworks show. The observation deck will re-open om January 2, 2020.

Visitors of Taipei 101 will still be able to access the indoor observation decks on the 88th and 89th floor only.

Taipei 101 is preparing for annual extravagant event that will be held on New Year's eve where the towers used lots of money for the fireworks display.


Currently, Taipei 101 observation deck has a discount price of NT$101 for Taiwanese residents and foreign residents of Taiwan.
