Philippine Embassy in UAE ready to repatriate Pinoys amid tensions in Middle East regions

The Philippine Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) said that it is prepared to evacuate all Filipinos in the emirates that may possibly be affected by the tensions in the Middle East regions.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in its Telegram channel that, in the event Iranian soil is bombed, it will target the cities of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Haifa, Israel, in the third wave of operations, CNN reported.

“In view of recent developments, Filipinos in the Middle East are assured that the Philippine government is prepared to repatriate any Filipino who may be affected or displaced by the ongoing crisis,” the Philippine embassy stated in an advisory.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III also announced that Labor Undersecretary Claro Arellano will go to UAE to aid and give more further instructions in the repatriation of Filipinos. (Photo Philstar)
