Taiwan authorities penalized those commuters who are not wearing mask in public transport

Commuters not wearing face mask in public transportation is strictly prohibited and authorities are looking for those who violate.

All users of public transport will need to wear facial masks or risk a maximum fine of NT$15,000 as parts of efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The reason for enforcing users of public transport to wear masks is because proper social distancing cannot be properly implemented in such situations according to Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).

Photos from a social media group stating that there are still lots of commuters not wearing face mask and authorities are capturing them for a penalty or to leave the station.
