A strong magnitude 6.3 earthquake jolts Mindanao Wednesday night (Oct 16), according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
PHIVOLCS said that the epicenter is located at 22 kilometers southeast of Makilala, Cotabato. The epicenter had a depth of two kilometers.
Intensity VII was felt in Kidapawan City, while Intensity V was felt in Tupi, South Cotabato; Alabel, Sarangani.
Intensity IV was felt in Kiamba, Sarangani; T'Boli, South Cotabato; General Santos City; and Intensity III was felt in Cagayan de Oro City; Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.
Intensity II in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental and Intensity I was felt in Dipolog City; Bislig City.
Aftershock of 5.5 magnitude happened in Columbio, Sultan Kudarat an hour later.
